Toggle Clamp
Toggle clamps have a single clamping plate and are designed to hold a workpiece to a work surface (i.e. a bench top) they are permanently bolted to the work surface, there are two types of toggle clamps some push down on the workpiece, while others push forwards.
They use a fast-action mechanism enabling them to be released or engaged in one quick movement, they use a combination of pivot pins and levers. they can be used for both light- and heavy-duty applications.
they are often used in production processes to securely locate components or parts in position.
