Surfaces to be painted should be free from nibs, cavities, and other imperfections. Mould, oil stains, if any, must be removed. Moisture content of concrete should be below 14% prior to application of any coating. Concrete and render should be treated with Coo-Var Acid Etch prior to painting to remove any dirt and laitance and to create a good "key" for the paint. Apply a 10% thinned coat of Teamac Chlorvar to prime and seal the surface prior to applying any unthinned coats. Surfaces previously painted with Teamac Chlorvar and that are in good condition can be scrubbed clean and the surface roughened to help adhesion of the new coating. Old perished Chlorvar coatings should be removed mechanically and treated as new substrate and prepared accordingly.
As dictated by normal good painting practice. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.
